Course Description:

Explore the beauty of drawing with color pencil in this in-person course for anyone wanting to learn or refresh your skills. Learn everything you need to get started - types of paper, pencils, how to put the color down, how to draw without seeing lines, layering, and blending. Each session you will be shown new techniques and majority of the class time you will be drawing.

     The class will work on 2-3 renderings during the course. It is expected that the student will be able to dedicate time between the sessions. Reference images will be supplied.

     For those with experience with the color pencil, these sessions are great to use as an open studio time to work on your own project.

 

Skill Level:

Students with any level of art experience are welcome. No previous art experience necessary. Recommended for ages 14 to adult.

 

Dates:

Monday evenings, 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm

(4 weeks)

 

Class Size:

This class is limited to 10 students.

Instructor:

Phil Schorn is a professional artist and has been teaching color pencil several years. His art has been published in art magazines and featured on television. He also has 2 books on Amazon of his art. Phil exhibits in outdoor art festivals through the summer and fall.
