What is Watercolor Pencil?

Watercolor pencil is a medium that combines drawing with painting. When you skillfully add water to a watercolor pencil drawing the pigment spreads over the paper to imitate the look and feel of a watercolor painting.

 

Course Description:

Explore the beauty of drawing and painting with watercolor pencils in this introductory course.

Learn everything you need to get started - types of paper, pencils, how to put the color down, how to paint with a pencil. Each session will be a review and work on the painting. The class will work on 3-4 paintings during the course. Reference images will be supplied

 

Skill Level:

Students with any level of art experience are welcome. No previous art experience necessary. Recommended for ages 14 to adult.

 

Dates:

Monday evenings, 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm

(4 weeks)

 

Class Size:

This class is limited to 8 students.

Perkowitz Art Studio

$200 / 4 weeks, not including supplies.

Instructor:

Phil Schorn is a professional artist and has been teaching color pencil several years. His art has been published in art magazines and featured on television. He also has 2 books on Amazon of his art. Phil exhibits in outdoor art festivals through the summer and fall.
