Known for her bold usage of color and a confident brush technique, twentieth century watercolorist Barbara Moczek established a premier reputation for her work throughout the Midwestern United States.

 

She had an explorer’s spirit, traveling the globe throughout her life. This spirit is reflected in the subjects she chose to paint, ranging from tropical to European subjects. No matter how far she traveled, Barbara always returned to her favorite subject, lush beautiful flower arrangements.

 

From her home in Lincolnshire, Illinois, Barbara had a long involvement with the Deer Path Art Gallery of Lake Forest in various capacities, including teaching and administrating.

 

A recently re-discovered collection of her original watercolor paintings is now available after nearly two decades in storage exclusively through The Perkowitz Art Studio.
