Popular Lake Villa artist Barbara Rose Ostergren brings her delightful ink & colored pencil rendering to the Perkowitz Art Studio in an exhibit that needs to be seen up close and personal.

 

Barbara Rose says she has always felt like she belonged in another era. “Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved old things,” she said, “People have often said I’m of another time.”

 

Her old-world feeling is reflected in her work with a care, craft, patience and attention to detail that is often missing in the modern world. Focusing on the patterns and beauty of nature, her work suggests a calm and invites the viewer to look closer.
